How are the job opportunities for freshers at this time of recession ?
Asked by Ashwin A
Hi, I graduated this year with a CS degree. I did an internship with a very good company X as developer on system side, but because of the recession i couldn't get an offer from this company. I am right now working as a Quality Assurance (Testing) Engineer in another company. I am completely confused as to what to do. Should I continue my present job or look out for opportunities (at this time of recession) ?

I have been a QA for years though and have great job satisfaction. You might consider working as a QA for a while at the company you are at with the possibility that a development job will arise in the future. If you really hate QA work (it's not for everyone) then keep an eye out for another job but don't jump ship on this one unless you have a guarantee, the economy is to hostile right now to make a jump without a safety net.
