I'm a senior in high school trying to start my career early. I'd like to know how to go about becoming a pilot, and what type of further education would I need to complete.

I'll assume you don't have any training.
1st- College education- people without it have a hard time finding a job in aviation even with a lot of experience.
2nd- Aviation Training
A) You could go Military. There are pros and cons. Pros- THEY PAY FOR TRAINING! Cons- It could take you a while before you get accepted to flight school. My friend in the Guard waited a few years before he got on.
B) You could go to a 141 school. Pros- Most 141 school graduates are picked up by the regional airlines right after graduation. I would check out the schools that have these sort of programs. A lot of these schools have a fast track program that you can "fly" through in a year and earn all the ratings you need. Cons- Flight training IS NOT CHEAP. Most 141 schools are going to be $50k+
I hope this helped

Go to university and get a qualification. That will be useful whatever you decide to do. Then join the military as a pilot. While all the glamor is in flying the fast and pointy fighter jet, having loads of hours flying multi engine transports will be far more favorable when looking to get a very well paid job for a civilian airline.

Enroll today in a local flight school. It is so much fun. Then fly Microsoft "Flight Simulator" at home to get your fundamentals down. Then join the Air Force after you have your pilot's license..
