PLEASE ANSWER!!!! Chemical Plant / Power Plants?
Asked by mike
I work as an operator in a Chemical Plant in upstate NY. I make about 70,000 a year after working a couple overtimes a week. I work continuous shift and don't mind it at all. I AM worried about my job security though, because my company nay take our jobs over seas. I would like to know what chemical plant or power plants there around around the country and what they pay. Also, if there are job openings there. I could move anywhere. I did not finish college. I'm stressed about getting laid off, so ANY information would help a lot. Thank you.

Move with the company, you might like it. OR Don't wait for them and get your resume out there ahead of time. CarreerBuilders.com and many others are looked at quite frequently by potential employers. There are many others. Find who your own companies Competition is and send them a resume. You are right to start getting prepared now. Good idea.
