I want to become a carpenter because I love to work with my hands?

But how do i go about doing this? Help?!

You should either go to school for it or apply at a company that does this. Sometimes if you apply at a company, they are willing to teach/train you if they really need the help.

A:
Many community colleges offer basic training courses in carpentry skills. I know the one near me offers courses in framing, roofing etc. Look into taking a few of these courses. They are usually short (1 quarter each). Also look for apprenticeship programs. They let you work on job sites while you learn the skills needed. You work under direct supervision of someone else but you usually move up within about 2 years, after you learn the tricks of the trade. Good luck.
