How do medical schools view an interdisciplinary degree?
Asked by SweetLuv
I recently couldn't decide on whether to major in English or Art as an undergraduate. I found an interdisciplinary program at my university that emphasizes theatre, english, and art! I'm really excited about it because I can do it all now and not have to be an undergrad for 6 years. Here's the dilemma: How do Medical Schools view interdisciplinary degrees? Do they look down on it? I was planning to double major in the interdisciplinary program AND accounting. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Medical schools are looking for cultured open mined doctors. That said music and English majors have 50% acceptance rate to medical school. Do well in your classes, especially your science prerequisite's and you'll have plenty of choices, plus you'll have a wide base of knowledge in something you love. 1st year medical student
