Is it more difficult to pursue a career as a pharmacist or a dermatologist?
Asked by tranquildreamxo
I haven't decided my major yet, but I'm leaning towards a career as a pharmacist or a dermatologist. So which is a better option, as in job availability, difficulty of classes I'll have to take, etc??? What is the difference between the two in what classes I would be taking? And majors?

pharmacy is a big chemistry field, so if chemistry isn't your best subject, dermatology might be a better choice. i would imagine that there are better job opportunities for a pharmacist than a dermatologist, but anything in the medical field will always have good job prospects. check out this site, it may help: www.bls.gov/OCO/ this is a site linking to the bureau of labor's occupational outlook handbook. hope it helps.
