How much do grocery store cashiers make?

I just got my first job at a grocery store as a part-time cashier. I live in Ontario, Canada.. How much do they make per hour on average ?

Around $8 an hour or so, but possibly more depending on if the job is union or not.

Beginning cashiers almost always make minimum wage, or maybe 10 or 25 cents more.
