What type of background check does UPS do?

I am interested in working for UPS, but what type of background check will they do? Is it a federal background check that is similar to TSA's background check?

state and federal checks of your background. If you have been in trouble with the law, broken any laws, been in prison (get it)

they have you fill something out and it is sent back to them through fed-ex
