How much were you paid when you worked at walmart?
Asked by amber
I am applying at walmart to be a cashier or sales floor worker. Did you get paid minimum wage or more?

they have 7 pay levels. a floor person is level 2 and a cashier is level 3. if you get into jewelry, garden, or electronics it's level 4 because you have the floor and the register. i was there for a year and made it to level 6. i loved working there. it takes minimum wage and adds 20 cents for level one. every level up is 10 cents. so starting at level 3 would be min wage plus 50 cents. i hope that makes sense. oh i forgot you also get an extra dollar an hour on sundays plus reviews every 6 months.

it depends...mainly for what part of the country you live in...for example youd obviously be making more in california than alabama because of the cost of living..it also depends on your previous experience...job experience as well as military gets you up a little higher...i hope you put for open availibility and put all or most of the departments..it ups your chances for an interview..if the interview goes okay they will let you know how much you will start off and if you are okay with that
