I am 19 years old and want to know how to attain a job in a childcare center?

Do I need a License? Permit? Or can I apply with no experience? I need to know for the state of IL.

depends i'd look online and go meet with some of the owners or directors of centers and discuss with them. that you don't have much experience but are very interested in working in this field. when i was 19 i worked at a center in az. they only required 6 months experience with kids, i had to get cpr and first aid certified, i had to get a fingerprint background check, i also had to take 12 hours of workshops in early childhood education a year, the classes were free, usually 2 hours long, and each hour counted as an hour against the requirement. um your state will vary though.

Each state and each community has there own regulations. You should go around to different daycare centers in your area and talk to the owners to find out the information you need. Plus, it gets your face out there to let them know you are interested. May just land you a job.
