I am struggling and i have to find a job!?
Asked by pink_panther0987
This is more of a vent to see how other people feel. i am 18. full time student at college to become a physical therapist assistant. i don't want a career, i just want a current job to get by, get me a car ( maybe an apartment) and to eat. right now i live with the parents, no car, the only time i eat is when my sister gives me food from her fast food place and that means i eat 1 time a day. i have applied EVERYWHERE! the place that i would literally cry if they called me for an interview is this local target distribution center that pays 12/ an hour. i also applied to walmart for the holidays, jcpenney and numerous others. should i constantly call these places to check my application and get them to remember my name or what?? if i don't get a job by December 1, after my final exams, im getting my CNA license and going on another stressful job search.....ANYONE PLEASE GIVE MY TIPS, ADVICE, OR HORRIFIC JOB STORIES OF YOUR OWN!!! i cry myself to sleep every night and i constantly pray.

How about trying tutoring. You could make a few bucks doing that :) It's not easy but very rewarding. Good Luck, Martin

Its a game. You have to talk yourself into a job and ask to speak to the HR or if you know the highest position's name ask for them. Stupid little employees dont know what to tell you. Persuasion to the Highest

Hang in there and continue to be diligent with your search. Do call to check-up on your applications but try not to overdo it. Try fast food restaurants because although they don't pay much, they are a start. Also try going from store to store at a nearby mall filling out applications. The application process does take time so you'll have to be patient. Stop by your local employment office and visit temporary agencies to see if they may have some work available. I recently endured a job search and know it can be stressful. I was exasperated but I finally got a call-back and you will too. Good luck!
