Questions about regional trucking driving?

I am thinking about becoming a truck driver. How many hours per day does a regional truck driver drive? Do you get a few hours to yourself or do you drive for fifteen hours and sleep for 8hours? How many days per week is a regional truck driver at home? How do you select what truck company to work for?

If you want honest answers from real drivers that have been or are where you are now in the deciding process then I encourage you to check out this FREE yahoo group. It was started by two truck drivers that wanted to help new and wanna-be drivers get the cold hard facts on the industry. When it asks for a comment just tell them that Susan sent you. Just remember these are real drivers and it sometimes takes a little time from when you post your questions to the time you receive an answer as they drivers do not all have computers in their trucks or are where they can get internet access.
