What should I wear to an interview at a large chain gas station for a cashier postition?

Would it be OK to wear a short sleeve knit shirt with white and red stripes, black pants and black snickers?

I have to say , you always need to dress to impress and specially if it is for a job interview. So no is not ok to wear that outfit you mentioned. Get a nice business casual attire and do not put on snickers type shoes. If you dress well this will let them know you are a professional individual and that you can be trusted to handle a cash register.

Yes, but just make sure (if you're a girl) that you don't put too much cleavage on display. Don't wear anything so low cut, the male customers paying for their gas will be so distracted, they won't care how much they're paying for that gas.
