Should I put my current job at a warehouse that sells headshop products on my resume or will that look bad?
Asked by Aidee
I have only worked there for 3 months as a sales representative since I recently moved to a new city. The job was business to business and was professional but my pay was cut there b/c they are having financial troubles so I am already looking for a new job in a more professional setting. If I don't tell other employers that I work there b/c of the type of products the company sells, is there any way they might find out?

Put it down, but call it what it's called under their business license - tobacco products/smoke shop.

what is headshop?

I'm not sure what a "headshop" is but as a general rule of thumb, your resume should have what you want to have on it, as long as the information is accurate. However, if you are completing a formal job application and are asked to provide ALL employment history, then you must provide all of it. Some organizations will also ask for your consent to an employment background check which will disclose everything. If your current job is applicable to a job you're currently applying for and you do not have much experience elsewhere, then include it.
