Is there a job where you are a accountant but work for lots of different companys and are always somewhere new?

I want to be a accountant as have a good head for maths and enjoy it, but I cannot stand to be in one place too long. I was wondering if there is such a job as an accountant who does things for one company then moves on to another and so on?

I have worked in financial services, and know of many temp agencies which specialize in accounting, you can find them on the web. I would research them carefully. Yes = working for a Temping Agency (eg Hays Professional or whatever it's called) ... Be aware that the job is interesting but you have no security, no pension, no holiday and very limited (sometimes no) sick pay entitlement ... typically you will be 'filling in' whilst some-one is on Maternity Leave, Long Term Sick or whilst they are Recruiting for the position .. this typically means between 3 and 12 months per post .. (your contract may be of the rolling '1 month notice' type (i.e. automatic renewal each month until notice) or you may be on fixed term ...... ... and a lot of places really do take the approach that :- "Permanent Staff are paid to be here .. Temp Staff are paid to WORK here" .. i.e. you have to do the work of two or more permanent staff to justify your continued employment ..

I have two relatives that work for the big companies. Both travel extensively doing in house audits. Sometimes they are out of the country for weeks at a time.

1.Sorry to say but just good head in maths is not enough to be a good accountant.2.Keep on changing companies is not a wise decision as companies prefer a loyal and stable employee + you gonna lose perks,bonuses & other benefits .You wont be eligible for promotion too. First of all make your mind seriously & then join accountancy course.The best degree which a professional accountant can get is ACCA which is accepted worldwide in almost all countries.If you get this degree then you are one of the best accountant in world & you can work independently for different companies at same time.Good Luck.

You could be an auditor, then you would visit different companies and check they are meeting accounting standards BUT you will need a degree and then after that 3-4 years at evening school while you are working.
