What questions will I be asked in an interview for an cashier's position at walmart?
Asked by Mrs. Rocchi
I want to be prepared for this interview of mine.
They said they need someone right now, temporarily, for the holidays.
But if I do good I can stay
so also, what makes a good cashier?

they ask u pretty general questions on the line of
name a rule/guideline u feel is reasonable to follow and why?
what rule would u choose to not follow and why?
name a time when u had a hectic situation and u needed to stay calm?
name a time u helped a person ? helping customers is key
how would u act if a person was being rude to you?
what do u do if someone asks for your help but u r busy?
had one- which is actually 2 back to back

The questions asked at the interviews are not position specific, they are a series of 5 categories, in each category 2 questions are asked, in the form of..'tell me about a time when you...etc....etc.?" All applicants are asked the same questions. (all open end questions)
You will be interviewed by a store hourly manager, and if that Mgr. feels your answers where both honest and showing a history of previous understanding to policies, customer service, etc., you will then be asked to wait until a salaried member of Mgmt. will come in and conduct a 2nd interview with you following the first interview. The 2nd interview is basically the same type questions (and immediately follows the 1st interview) if that make sense..lol
A job offer usually follows after the 2nd interview and a drug test is scheduled, as well as a background check.
If the first manager thanks you for your time and never mentions the 2nd interview, well uh...thanks for the application, etc. (sorry)
Just relax and be yourself, you will be just fine. =)
