Is my retail store going to close based on this?
Asked by Paula
I work at Nike Outlet and my store isn't doing as good as the other Nike Outlet locations in my state. Does corporate look at this when deciding whether or not to close us down? Do they compare my stores net sales with the other stores net sales? 1 hour ago - 3 days left to answer.

It's not just the net sales that they look at. it's more what the profit of the store is. Say the other store makes 10 million a year but they spend 9 million on staff, marketing, bills, etc. Then they only make 1 million in profit. Say your store makes 5 million a year but only spends 3 million on staff, marketing, bill, etc. Your store makes 2 million in profit a year and as such makes the company more profit. Other things play into it but at the end of the day. if the store is doing a good amount of profit then it should be fine. Even if it is losing a bit they might keep it. We really don't have all the facts so it's to hard to call it right now.

They will look at nets and if they do choose to close, nets are just as important to as logistics, location as well as potential for growth will aslo factor in, however not as heavily as finances.
