How hard is it to learn Medical Coding?

I would like to take an online medical coding course through Kaplan University but am afraid that the course might be hard as I have seen several lists of various codes. Do you have to learn all the numbers for these codes or is there a guide you can follow? How hard is it to learn medical coding? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

well on a scale i would say about 5 -- my niece is one and though she has a good memory i would not say she is the brightest light in the room!!!

Hi,
If you have good medical background, then it is easy for you. For learning medical coding, you should have medical background or at least two to three years exp of MT.
It is easy if you have interest. You can go through ericacodes.com reg coding.
