Why a housekleeper? (why do you want to be a housekeeper, why did you choose housekeeping as a job?)?

i'm still in training for my housekeeping department at the hospital and the director is coming to speak with us tomorrow. I know he is a tough guy and the main question he asks is WHY A HOUSEKEEPER? One chick got asked to leave because she said that she just wanted to get in through the door to advance...I want a good answer... so please help me out cause i really wanna make it through training

If I were asked, I would say that not everyone is called to serve and housekeeping at the hospital would give you a great opportunity to do just that; serve. Granted, many people look over the importance of housekeeping but it just as important as any other job in hospital is. Not to mention, once a place is cleaned you get instant gratification.

just say that is a way to support yourself and it is something that has more flexible hours
