Armed Security Guard at a Nuclear Power plant?

Since I was Little, I have always wanted to be an armed security guard at a nuclear power facility. I can never find information on the net about it... If anyone could give me some info on what would give me an advantage on employment and requirements, it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

I'd imagine you'd have to get some pretty stiff security clearance.

It's likely contracted out through a security agency You need to get into the security field ans take specialized training

They are contracted with local security agencies. Many many security guards at these plants are former law enforcement officers who gravitate to the security side for various reasons. Contact a local security agency that is known nationwide as these are more likely to get the big contracts like banks and power plants, etc. Starting off as a guard at the mall will never get you there. Look for the companies with big names like Wells Fargo or Wackenhut.
