How do I answer this question on a job application for retail store? "What would make you upset or mad?"?
Asked by SF_Skywalker
Basically the question was something like "What would make you upset or mad while working at the retail store?" It's like one of those questions where you're supposed to make a negative seem positive in the answer. How would you answer this question on a job application?

Regardless of what you say; many retail stores don't care what you say. I would write down "I would feel mad, if I was working and saw another employee treat a costumer dist-respectfully." That will mean that you feel that costumers should be treated with respect.

I would put down abuse of another employee by some one else. Other than that nothing really makes me mad.

Retail employees are not supposed to get upset or mad. So you could lie and say "nothing" and be more likely to get the job... or be honest and say "Rude arrogant customers make me want to slap them silly" but not get the job. Customer service jobs stink, I suggest not bothering with applying for them. Mainly because you get hit from both sides: customers abuse you, then they complain to your manager who will abuse you further.
