What to wear to job interview as a mechanic?
Asked by detroitdiesel444
I am getting ready to interview to be a mechanic at a school district up north where it is cold. It is snowing here and i dont want to overdress, but i would like to know what is best to wear, it is a civil service interview. thanks

Best Answer:
business casual (polo and khakis with clean polished garage oxfords) shirt and tie or a sport coat is overkill and makes the interviewer wonder if you know what you are applying for. always dress one step above the normal attire for the job you are applying for ............. it is possible to overdress for an interview.

A:
Sports Jacket, button down shirt, tie, slacks and shoes. Making a good impression is important.

You should wear something formal to any job interveiw

Dress formal, of course the employer know it's snowing so you should also consider putting on something to protect you from the cold but it must be formal, in any interview for a job always dress formal with you resume, portfolio, and other papers in a simple little brief bag and remain calm when you reach to the job site.
