I just got promoted to retail assistant manager. What should my raise be?
Asked by bella baby
I usually work at a lower volume store, yesterday I just got promoted to a retail Assistant Manager at a higher volume store. It is a lot busier than my current store and they have more merchandise .What should my raise be? I think they should AT LEAST give me $2 or $3 more.

When I received a similar promotion, I was given another $4 per hour. However, this decision is usually left to the district manager (or whoever had to make the final decision about your promotion), so I would try to figure out what the average hourly rate is for an assistant manager in your company and at least aim that high, maybe 50 cents more an hour than average for a high volume store.
