Good non-retail part-time evening/weekend job ideas?
Asked by John A
I've exhausted my savings left over from working full time over the summer. I'm in my 3rd year of university so my available hours are somewhat limited, but evenings/weekends would work for me.
I _really_ would rather not work in a grocery store. Any ideas for a part time job?
I don't know who "chicpower" is, but I've never reported _anyone_ on this site, especially not in any of my questions.
I guess that changes now as i've reported her post in this question.

Bartender! I remember my buddies in college coming home with wads of cash every night from tips... so jealous... especially since some of it was money I was putting in their pockets.

You're in the PRIME spot to do BeautiControl. It's a mobile spa company that sells FANTABULOUS home spa and skincare products. Yes, I know you're a guy and I also know there are men who are making 6 figure salaries doing this stuff AND college chics LOVE these products. They're affordable and work better than most high-end department store brands. The company rewards well too, not just commission but also with paid vacations, free products you can sell or keep to use yourself, and many other benefits. Seriously, you should consider it. I've never earned less than $100 an hour and it's a piece of cake to sell because the products sells themselves. All people need to do is try it and they love it AND love the price. If you're even remotely interested email me and we'll discuss.
Good luck in whatever you decide! At least with this you can set your own hours based upon how much money you want to earn.

I would be "chicpower", answering under yet another identity. *sigh* I actually was signing on to apologize to you. I had a stupid hormonal moment last night and I usually don't let silly things like Y.A. get under my skin like that. I had time to think about how you, as a real person and not just an anonymous typer, might feel after being berated by me. Now I feel even WORSE realizing that you weren't even the offending reporter! UGH. How dumb of me. dude, I'm truly sorry for acting like a 5 year old and telling you off. Glad you reported me that time, I soooooooo deserved it. I sincerely hope you find an awesome job. Let me try answering your question again if you would be so kind as to allow it.
Have you considered perhaps working in a retirement home? The hours are usually short, the pay is decent, and it's rewarding in a personal sense. My first job when I turned 16 was working in a nursing home in the kitchen. Easy job and very rewarding talking with the sweet elderly people who lived there. The nursing home supervisor was also very understand with my school schedule. It's not fantastic pay, but it's better than a grocery store and much more pleasant.
Sorry again for being such a butthole last night. I don't know what came over me!
