What are the haircut regulations for security work?
Asked by azcardsfan_1
Are the haircut regulations for a private security guard position the same as police regulations? Is there a uniform standard or does it depend on the company?

well i was in security and the military and they seem to have almost the same standards, except for facial hair. for security, you are not allowed to have ur hair past ur collar and it cant touch ur ears either. facial hair doesnt matter as long as it is neatly trimmed and isnt a total fuss. and yes the secuirty companies, especially the private ones which i worked for before, do have the same standards as police because they train in police academies. i trained in a police academy in montebello to officially become a licensed security guard. dont worry too much about the uniform they'll tell u everything u need to know. and yes every uniform is different its not the same for every company. i would say try to find a better job if its available. security is too dangerous even more dangerous than police. i left that job as soon as i got a better job. now i make a comfortable living owning my own business and still working another side job and going to school.

It depends on the company. But usually ponytails etc are out for guys that is. A lot of guards go on a power trip.
