How do I become a Marketing Manager?
Asked by Nick
I'm thinking about becoming a Marketing Manager, but I don't know how I would get to that position. I'm probably going to major in Business Administration, but where do I go from there? Is there an entry level job that you start at before moving on to becoming a Marketing Manager? Also, Is there a difference between these 4 job titles: Advertisement Manager, Advertisement Director, Marketing Manager, or Marketing Director? I'm a little confused. What/how much education would be best for this position? Please help. Any advice is appreciated.

Get a college degree in Marketing and some experience managing a successful market. Don't expect to just walk into a Management position straight away. You have to earn the right to manage other people...unless you or your dad own the company. Those definitions could be the same or different depending on the size of the company and the scope of the job and the duties involved. Cheers!

Sincerity. Once you learn to fake that everything else is easy.
