I recently obtained my certified welding inspectors card and wondered if anyone knows or can give me ideas about what to do now

Sounds like you need to find a job in that field. Do you have any contacts that would help you find work? If you took classes to get your certification then the school may be able to help you find something. These are difficult times for work but make it a full time job in trying to find a job. Also check out the military who I am sure would be able to find a place for someone who knows how to weld. You can also put in your application for maintenance positions and public utilities.
