With the exception of seasonal jobs it is pretty pointless to look for work between now and January?
Asked by me-inside
My sister worked HR for Johnson and Johnson for 12 yrs and she told me very few companies hire after mid-November (non-seasonal) due to meeting yearly budgets and getting ready for the tax season after the holidays. With the exception of seasonal jobs it is pretty pointless to look for work between now and January due to the end of year holidays?

No, keep looking. Worst that could happen is you get a call back.

No, that's mostly true for retail jobs. Keep applying and cross your fingers.

Why would it be pointless to look for a job if you need a job? What's the alternative? Well I guess you could spend your time looking for personal business ventures like mowing lawns and cleaning garages, but that would probably be even more challenging...
