What does a seasonal job calendar look like?
Asked by pookiepoo
I started a seasonal job and they tell me that I will be working until end of January. When should I expect to be called again to work? Is it only holidays and special dates?

Seasonal jobs are usually less than 90 days. The peak periods of the year are usually major holidays and possibly in the summer. Depends on the type of business. You are hired as a temporary employee and don't accrue vacation or other benefits but are entitled to overtime.

You should not expect to be called again for work after Jan., unless they end up needing you still, which isn't likely. You were hired as a temporary, seasonal staff member, just for the holiday season. Maybe they will need you again Nov. 2009
