NREMT expired, trying to get FL EMT certification can I use it to transfer over to NREMT?

NREMT- National Registry for Emergency Medical Technician My NREMT expired back in March. I'm am now trying to get a Florida EMT certification. Could I use that to get my NREMT re-certified? Anybody know anything about this?

if you are from another state you would either have to Challenge the state boards or pay alot of money to the florida emt..
