How much does seasonal tax preparation pay?
Asked by jenay672001
I will be qualified to prepare tax returns seasonally for one of the large national firms, but have been unable to get any solid income info as the local office is mostly closed until tax season. No one else I know has done this recently. Does anyone have an estimate or range of income for Florida, considering I plan to do this at least 20 hours a week. Are we talking about $1000/month or $100/month for PT seasonal tax prep?

jenay672001, Call a Florida tax account. They can help you since they know the industry and local laws. http://www.officialtaxpreparation.com/Florida-Tax-Services.html

If you work for H&R Block, you can do pretty well. I can't tell you how much as that depends on how many hours your work and other variables. But H&R pays more than minimum wage and you can get incentive pay for selling some of H&R's other products. My wife used to work there and did OK and she wasn't trying that hard. Others in her office earned a lot more. It would certainly be more than $100 a month and could easily be $1,000 a month or even more.
