How can I get an entry level secretary position finishing my associates in business administration?
Asked by myckie
I currently work in a hospital in housekeeping took the job for the benefits something which I hate i did because to me looks bad on my resume. I think this discourages jobs from considering me for customer service positions and clerical ones. I do have experience and military experience from the reserves and active duty. Need some suggestions please.

Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! The problem is that we have WAY TOO MANY attorneys and not enough jobs to support them. There are a lot of lawyers working as Legal Secretaries and Paralegals just to put bread on the table - this is your competition. We have a GLUT of lawyers!
I strongly suggest that you stay in the field of Healthcare. If you do not like your current job, look for something else. But the field of Healthcare is HOT right now. Lots of jobs there! and scholarships!

Check www.usajobs.gov. With your military experience, you already have a foot in the door, and GS jobs provide good security and regular pay raises.
