Does any one know how i can go about getting a job on the oilrigs?

I am currently working in the chemical industry and would like to try my hand on the rigs

You want to be searching for a job as an Offshore Chemist, there are usually some of these on Monster and Total Jobs and things. Have a search and see what you can find. Well paid though these ones!! :0)

firstly you will need an offshore survival cert and medical, about £750 for them together, see rgit montrose, aberdeen. all the major players in the offshore game usually use their own chemists rather than agencies so try them first marathon oil u.k. mobil shell etc....... otherwise try an aberdeen firm called Baker Hughes. they supply chemists to firms as well. don,t forget to apply to drilling companies as well such as transocean diamond drilling apache i can only advise on the aberdeen based firms as this is where i work out from
