What is the salary of a weapons designer?

I want to be a weapons designer when i grow up. Several people tell me that i will be sort of poor if i am a weapons designer. Does anyone (preferably a weapons designer) know what an average salary is. In your answer please specify between monthly and yearly because it doesn't say that on the internet. Please i really want closure on the salary. I am only in eight grade. I don't need money making ideas. Please, i just would like to know the salary of my preferred profession.

What kind of weapons? My daughter is a weapons engineer. She holds a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, works for the government and makes just under $75,000
