How would I go about hiring a paralegal?
Asked by Stephanie Lynn
All I can find online are schools to make it a profession. Any advice on getting a good, and somewhat cheap paralegal?

As an employer you can search through resumes on Careerbuilder.com.
Or, like the first poster said, contact the paralegal schools in your area to post an add with their career services department.
Or you could be traditional and post an ad in the newspaper.

the schools can make the placement, so, leave a message with the school that you will do an internship with the students, and you can find one you like, or call a temp agency that specializes in paralegals. try the courthouse or want ads, too, place one or find one looking for a job..

WHY do you want to specifically hire a Paralegal?
Just about ALL Paralegals work for law firms/attorneys because it is "Unauthorized Practice of Law" for them to work without the direct supervision of an attorney. ****************************
You can't just search the phone book for a Paralegal like you can for a Painter.
When you talk to your attorney, ask them if they have any Paralegals working for them to help lower your fee(s).
Cheap Paralegals are NOT good.
