Any advice on how to find a job for next semester? No work study jobs available.?
Asked by scoot
I am looking for a part-time job for next semester to help pay for my sorority and other college expenses. i don't have a lot of prior work experience (except for hostessing at a restaurant one summer) and there are no work study jobs available. where is a good place to look for someone like me who is a full-time student and who also does not have a lot of work experience? thank you very much for your time and help.

Jobs are hard to find now. Try FedEx or UPS. Both are hiring part time and seasonal now. I did it last year for FedEx, only planned on being there for the holiday season. I really don't like it-don't dislike it either, it's just a "job", but with the economy I don't dare give it up now. It's hard work to start out though, but will get you in shape if you're not :) Have day, night, overnight hours available. They do offer tuition assistance after a month or two, and medical after so many hours are put in(1000). So, not that bad for a part time job. Basically their only requirements are show up and show up on time.... Good luck! .
