In a nutshell: dealerships are hurting right now, even laying off. CSK (Checker-Shucks-Kragen) got bought by O'Reilly's. My personal opinion: watch out for corporately owned stores--very demanding and little appreciation for anything you do. Almost all CARQUEST stores are corporately (JV) owned. Most NAPA's are independently owned. AutoZone and PepBoys are retail retail based. i.e.: longer hours, 7 days a week. NAPA has been the best to work for from my experiences. Best of luck!
