Should I ask the manager...?
Asked by Marie L
I'm currently working in a warehouse cleaning microwaves but I really want to work with computers even if its in the warehouse. Should I ask the manager or suggest him to change me so that I can get more experience? If so,how do I ask him without making myself look pushy? I know excel,ms word, and other stuff.
I'm looking for other jobs but so far no luck and I don't want to do that anymore. Some people are telling me to suggest but how I get really nervous and forget or mumble please help me by giving me an idea what to tell him. Thanks.
Ive only been there a week.
is that too soon to ask for a change ?

I think thats to soon because my friend was a track marsial at an amusement park and he worked there for 6 months he got along really well and felt comfortable with the managers and he suggested that he could do a good job as a mechanic. and they did , they gave him an opportunity to work as a mechanic.
i say just wait till you get to know your boss a little more

Yes way too early my question is you say you know Excel and word etc. Do you have certification in it? And at what level do you know it putting in data, or making and using formulas? Can you add power point to that? If not please take a course in them will make a big difference in your saying you know them, or proving you know them. In today's job market it is way better to have the certs
