Utimately, every aspect of patient care is the responsibility of the nurse. Baths, cleaning up bowel/bladder accidents, cleaning up vomit, dressing the patient and their wounds and providing medications are all the responsibility of the nurse. Many organizations provide unlicensed staff: nursing assistants, unit assistants, technical partners, CNAs, or whatever you want to call them to assist the nurse in tending to these responsibilities.
Bottom line: Yes, we wash, wipe, dress, turn, medicate.....

I believe during your educational period you will have to do those type of duties apart of training.

Sometimes they do, depends on how big of a home you work in. My mom is an RN and she loves it. But she also does the bath work and changing. The CNAs are just to assist the RNs, so they are pretty much the same, just more pay and experience.

RN's do all type of work. Generally the bathing and such is done by a CNA. It would depend on where you work and what the policies are. Good luck on your studies!

I am in school right now to become an RN....I guess I have to ask, how do you know you want to be one if you don't know what they do?
Yes....you will do a little bit of everything.
Maybe you could check with your local hospital and see if they have a shadowing program, lots of them do, and then you will be able to see first hand.
Good Luck to you
