What should I do about saying dumb things to the new boss?
Asked by orthomajor2
The new boss at work, was actually doing some work with us. I have never seen that before at my work, they usually just tell us what to do, what needs to be done. I have never said much other than 'hello' to this guy before, but today when i saw him working, i said something like 'whoa you're working with us', and he gave he a bad look or no look at all. So I felt guilty and then said 'sorry i mean is this your first time doing this here', and he said no. Even though I think he may been relating to his job duties at previous places. I could tell he didn't think it was funny. Should I worry now about next Monday when I ask him for a promotion Hospital Instrument Tech. I already made an appointment to talk to him (about something) on Monday

I don't think you should worry about the comments. He probably has forgotten all about the comments but I'm concerned that you will be asking a brand new boss for a promotion. It doesn't seem like the ideal time to me.Good luck

Stick cucumbers in his ears, that way when you keep saying all these stupid things, he won't hear you.
