charomania
what qualifications or certificates do I need to land a decent bilingual job. ?
Asked by charomania
I'd like to get a decent job (possiblly a career) involving bilingualism. I speak almost native Japanese(almost because I can't read and write) and native English. Can I jsut go to some language school and get some certificates for both languages or do I need to at least go to a community college. thanks.

Best Answer:
Go to www.bls.gov/oco type in translator. It will tell you all kinds of info on careers, including potential earnings and required education or training. You can also look up the career on careerbuilder.com, monster.com, or indeed.com. Type in translator and get a chance to see what employers are looking for in a translator. Good Luck! contact the local community college or university's language bank for more info.
