Search Illinois Board of Pharmacy and go to the www.ptcb.org website where you will find a table of information about various state's technician requirements and rules. https://www.ptcb.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Regulations&Template=/CustomPages/StateBoards/Listing.cfm https://www.ptcb.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Regulations&Template=/CM/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=3286&FusePreview=True&WebsiteKey=9d90bd98-be45-4b90-ae8c-25ab71fa0923

A:
1. Fill out this form. http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/phrmtech.asp 2. Pay $40 3. Obtain PTCB certification within 2 years of receiving your license. In the Chicago area, there is a surplus of techs. Many have to start working part time for a while before they can find a full-time job.
