Asked by Trev
Last year I got charged with Poss. of marijuana with the intent to sell had to do 12 months of probation and my case is on deferred prosecution for 2 years the felony will be dismissed and I will be charged with a misdemeanor possession. I trying to get my life in order and got a internship with a construction company through my college. Im afraid that they will find out about the charges and fire me?

Tell them up front. Marijuana is the most likely crime to be forgiven. They won't let you collect and disburse money for the first year but you don't care about that..

A:
Tell them nothing. They did a background check before they accepted you for an internship. If that conviction ever does come back to bite you, there are companies that specialize in these legal matters and can get the charge wiped off your record.
