Career Questions and Answers
What are some creative, artist or hi tech or scientific jobs I can get into that pay decently?
Asked by PeguinBackPacker
I always wanted a job that has something creative (art, music, media, whatever) dealing with science or high tech or with politics or the humanities. But I do not want a job that requires a degree and having me be living on a starving wage. And I do not want a a job that requires a doctorate's degree or just teaching. Any advice? Help please? Not looking forward to my current job as a career and I am definitely tired of bouncing around job to job like I have been for the last 8 years.

I recruit for the Scientific sector. There are jobs out there that don't require a degree but starting salaries without are in the region of £11 - 13K you would normally need something Sciencey on your CV like A-levels but not always important for contact analytical labs and things.
With art and music there are some good college courses. If you are really good at playing a particular instrument then you could maybe do a college course full or part-time and spend your spare time giving music lessons which will give you cash and experience?
