I need to pick a career and Im having trouble. Im between a high school teacher and policework. Help please?

I would really have fun being a high school teacher, but I'm afraid it would get repetitive: any experiences? And for policework: it's not an actual police officer. I want to do something with crime analysis and crime scene work, maybe even some sort of investigator or detective (my ultimate goal). Is it hard to get to a job like that? I am going to get whatever schooling necessary for either, but which should I choose and what advice do you have?? Thanks

I'm a teaching student atm and I've been working in a school for four years. Teaching is only boring if you are not fun! You plan the lessons, come up with field trips, etc etc. So if you get bored of something, you change it, work with the curriculum to make it work for you. I love the idea of policing etc, but I think forensics etc is well sought after now and highly competitive. You'll probably have to do extra study to stand out from the other applicants. good luck :)

Medical support could help lead into forensics. Nursing is dangerous and involves a lot of paperwork. I prefer to work for the nurse (CNA), doing grunt labor with little paperwork, and if I do my job right it is hard to blame me for bad outcomes. Nursing science is good to know about anyway as it involves anatomy/physiology, drugs, care plan development (you'll love the "process"), and helping people non-stop.
