Can a call center company sue you to force you to pay the training bond of the training program?
Asked by RenPhilippines
I from the Philippines and I am wondering if there are anyone with call center experience from the Philippines and if they were ever threatened with being sued by the call center company they worked in they resigned or went into absent without leave before the required expiration of the effectiveness of the training bond for the training program that the agent went through in their training. Can the call center company really sue you or file a civil against you so they can force you to pay the training bond? I hope someone can answer my question.

It haven't happened to me, but trust me, there are companies that really do pursue the case, especially when the agent's leave of absence cost the company millions due to failed metrics from lack of manpower.

I know in America they most certainly can.
If you were required to work for a specified time in return for the training bond than you are in breach of contract. I've seen this before. You'll end up paying the the bond and court costs if you can't negotiate the bond.
