You have a lot of experience compared to the other candidates who just graduated from college and vying for the same position as you. Try to sell yourself. Explain in detail the next time you interview how you are EXPERIENCED in what you know already and tell stories in an interview. Also, it is who you know that can land a job these days. Talk to people in your network. Maybe they know someone that has a position that you are qualified for. Good luck,

Sounds like you have the experience so it sounds like you would be a good candidate. Also, the higher your education the better(it just looks more official). You just go in an apply for it and have a positive attitude. Good luck to you!

As with any potential job, you must sell yourself. Despite not having certain qualifications, you may land the job by showing your prospective employer that you're the right person for the position. good luck

Don't focus on the fact that you've never held that position. Just go in feeling that you knoww hat you are doing if you get the job (but don't be cocky). Walking in with confidence will tell the potential employer that you believe you can do the work, and that they should, too. Make sure that in your resume it outlines the work you did in the Administrative and clerical field.
Good luck!

You need to align your past work experience with what the job is asking for.Go down the list in the job description and look for examples in your past that demonstrates your ability do the job. However, if you don't have those skills, DO NOT LIE! You are better off saying you are open to learning or that you have observed someone else doing that task.Lastly, appear confident in your interview.

you sound like you do have the experience. Go to agencies and take tests to see your levels of computer skills and typing. when you apply for a new job tell them you are looking to move up. Also if you haven't all ready, go to college. Some Admins have a 4 year degree.

If you have had secretarial work, have experience in writing reports, and doing the bosses work in his absence, you have the skills to be an Administrative Assistant. In my day I called the person my secretary which may be " politically incorrect " today. But that is what she did .
