Is getting a job in the interior design field a smart decision with the economy?
Asked by endoplasmic reticulum
i'm sixteen, in high school (home school) and interior design has always had my interest. I start an interior design class on the 20th, and have had hopes of possibly interning somewhere in the future. however, the economy is obviously terrible and i have the biggest fear of not being successful. So i guess what i'm getting at, do you think if i were to attempt to pursue interior design, what are my chances of being successful with it? What is the interior design job market like ? any information would help, thanks.

Best Answer:
It's possible - if because of the economy, people are holding off on buying new homes, they might instead decide to revamp their existing homes to make them feel new, but at a fraction of the expense.

I think interior design would be a safer bet.... no one knows till they try right.... I don't see to much problem of u not being successful if u r good at it...
