What qualities should one possess to be a good health care professional?

I want to be a physician assistant but I want to somehow find out if it's REALLY the thing for me. What qualities should a PA posses? What qualities should anyone in health care possess?

Well I am a nurse and I must say compassion and desire to help others is a big start. You also must not be easily grossed out by things like blood, poo and vomit, let alone guts and gore. Good Luck

A BIG heart - so you will never stop wanting to help people
A BIGGER backbone - to be able to get through what you are about to see, hear and deal with.
