Great choice! As an LPN I've been a "scrub nurse" for almost 9 years. I was fortunate though my hospital did on the job training, and now I'm working in a surgery center. Here in PA there are quite a few hospitals that I know who are willing to train an LPN. I'm just going to warn you I've tried other things after working in the OR and always go back. Once an OR nurse always an OR nurse! Good luck!

Congrats on graduating from school. I think you might need to be an RN, but you could call local hospitals and ask them as it may very by the hospital. Good luck on boards.

A:
Depends on the hospital. My hospital used to hire LPNs as scrub techs, but they don't anymore, they use formally trained surgical techs or surgical assistants.
